OCFNLP provides opportunities for young people to be positively involved and connected to their community. One of the primary focus areas is to support youth in identifying problems in the community and to serve as advocates for change. The chapter advisor, along with support from the OCFNLP staff, assists members in building leadership and advocacy skills which result in a sense of belonging to the community.

Youth Serving Organizations will gain:

  • A program which provides a structure for bringing youth together
  • Innovative ideas and activities to share and implement with youth participants
  • Technical assistance and support from OCFNLP staff
  • Chapter handbooks and materials to support current prevention efforts
  • Invitations to attend youth leadership/prevention trainings and conferences
  • A program offered at no cost to the organization
