St. Callistus FNL Chapter applied for and received a small mini-grant to help them complete an environmental prevention project. The youth started off by administering a survey and found out their peers felt that underage drinking is a major issue. As a result of the survey, the chapter members put together a presentation, a video, and also organized a panel of knowledgeable speakers who work in the field of underage drinking prevention. They then hosted a Parent Night where parents could interact with the panelist. Parents learned about statistics gathered through the effects of underage drinking. A film was also presented demonstrating the effects of underage drinking. The event was a complete success with over forty parents in attendance!
