Chapter Hosted 2ND Annual Town Hall Meeting

 

 

 

Huntington Beach High School Friday Night Live chapter members hosted their second annual town hall meeting on Over-the-Counter and Rx Drug (OTC/Rx) Abuse. The goal was to bring awareness to parents, students, and teachers of the issues youth face in abusing these substances. They had a panel of experts: a medical doctor, law enforcement professional, prevention professional, a student in recovery, and a parent who had lost their son to OTC/Rx abuse. They collaborated with the Community Service Programs-Project PATH and the Alcohol and Drug Education and Prevention Team (ADEPT) with the County of Orange Health Care Agency. Approximately 50 people were in attendance at the event. The Friday Night Live chapter members were successful in planning, implementing, facilitating, and evaluating this event.

Chapter members celebrated this school year's successes by attending the OCFNLP Year-end Recognition Event and Angel’s Game.
