Walker Junior High chapter leaders are making a change in their school and community by addressing the use of tobacco by young people. The students surveyed their peers to find out where and when young people smoke. The members then tallied the results and will work to complete their project.
The leaders are planning to meet with school administrators to go over the survey results and give policy recommendations. Chapter member also wrote a letter to the local police department to ask for their support by patrolling near their school.
