OCFNLP believes that all young people have the potential to be leaders and advocates in their school and community. OCFNLP operates under youth development principles, which strive to build assets or strengths in young people rather than focusing on problem behaviors or deficits. Opportunities offered through chapter membership such as leadership trainings, advocacy and prevention projects all lead to the goal of reducing alcohol, tobacco, other drug and violence related problems among youth and in their school/communities.
